South Portland Dems Pass Anti-TABOR Resolution

The South Portland Democratic City Committee has unanimously expressed their opposition to TABOR, the so-called “Taxpayer Bill of Rights,” by passing a resolution urging all Democrats to Vote No on #1.

“TABOR is a one-size-fits-all approach that will take away local control,” said Committee Chair Richard Rottkov. “We believe the people of South Portland would like their City Council to continue to run our community’s affairs. TABOR would cede local control to a handful of powerful legislators in the State Capitol.”
