"Early Voting" Now Underway in South Portland

Many South Portland residents have been taking advantage of the Maine right of “no-excuse” absentee voting. You can avoid long lines on Election Day by using the so-called “early voting” option by simply casting an absentee ballot in person at City Clerk’s office at South Portland City Hall. (This is not to be confused with actual “early voting,” which involves opening of regular polling places prior to Election Day.) For your convenience, the South Portland City Clerk’s office has even set up some booths to help you to prepare your ballot.
